Nova

I did some band shots for Nova , an amazing local band which I've gotten to know in High School. Their drummer wasn't able to attend so it was just Ralgy in the red(Vocals/Bass Guitar) and Alex in the Nirvana shirt(Electric Guitar).

Show them some love on their Facebook page here and stay tuned for upcoming NYC shows~!~

No Studio x Samantha Oh

My photo IV is gracing the album cover of No Studio's Mythology.
Check out those sick beats. Chill out to these ambient instrumentals.

No regrets.

Thing I Don't Get of the day

  • Police brutality.
You just came out of Dunkin Donuts and you pick on a minority for some absent reason, and threaten to beat them up….this can lead to two things…self esteem for a pig, knowing that the person cannot lay their hands on them or ticking that person off to the point they wanna knock the food out your teeth and then you just fuck em up and arrest them. I have seen way too many police brutality videos and only on the internet, their abuse of power is not acknowledged through media. When do you ever find these things on the television or newspaper? Arresting a group of volunteers on the street that were making meals tangible for people who couldn’t bring it to the table or didn’t even have a table??? Skateboarders cruising? A man biking on the sidewalk because he was inches away from his building in a desolate neighborhood? Silent protesters simply dancing in front of an American monument? And I just saw a video of 2 policemen grab a black man out of his wheelchair and fucking throw him on the floor. Homies, these are just a few incidents of police brutality. These are things caught on footage, what happens when cameras aren’t around…
So yeah, I’m thinking about compiling police brutality videos within NYC and leaving it anonymously at their HQ or a news station. I’m not sure if it’s worth it because they may just discard it but it’s worth a try.
If that doesn’t work out, I may just want to turn this into a film project.
Feel free to link me videos.
Thanks anyone reading this, and remember
FUCK DA POLIIIIIIIIICEEEEEEE

Greenpoint Gallery

last friday, I went to Greenpoint Gallery with my friend Colleen who makes amazing art! I had fun,met photographers and artists, listened to some bands, and viewed some art. Brooklyn's a good escape from Manhattan.

Colleen with her work and a Blue Ribbon.

"Oh look a guido!"

And a black cat crossed our path but we didn't mind. <3

So after waiting and watching ever so "patiently" the second I planted them, my sunflowers have sprouted.

I'm so happy, I love sunflowers.

Twisted Faerytale Casting

Top:Belle,Angelica
Bottom:Gia,Tracy
(These photos were not taken by me).
So my first time casting for models for a shoot, in collaboration with a Makeup artist, and I got an overwhelming amount of replies. These are the lovely ladies that I felt best fit, the theme is twisted faerytales, grungy and edgy!!
Can't wait to work with them, aren't they cute? I'll post the results after the shoot next Saturday.

ZiggOriginal

In January, I worked with Lila of ZiggOriginal to shoot her jewelry. I was pleased to see her jewelry was something I would wear myself, and she actually gave me some pretty wicked pins and earrings at the end of the photoshoot. I would say this line is feminine but edgy, toning down the cliche cute factor of roses and reminding us of the thorns. One of my favorites were the pins with sharp fangs surrounding a bed of roses. I got to keep one myself and put it on my favorite jacket.
She's got a new line called 'Bear Attack' which is self explanatory. Check it out:

Stay tuned for our upcoming shoot.

April 1st Party

Fun night, free beer :)
By the way, does anyone know how to flip photos in Blogger? They're already flipped then when I upload them, they flip. Perhaps a width issue? If anyone knows, I'd appreciate it.
